Republica del Beisbol Rules (WIP)

Components
• One Board
• 40 pieces in 5 Colors
• 12 6-sided dice (3 red, 3 blue, 3 yellow, 3 green)

Objective
• To have the most victory points at the end of the last season.

Teams
• Isla Bonita Pescadores (Blue)
• San Jose Elefantes (Green)
• Santa Maria Leones (Yellow)
• Veracruz Gigantes (Red)


Players
• 2 – 4 Players (Minimum 2 Active Player Teams).
- Any Teams with No Player are considered Non-Player Teams
- Active Players must complete outcomes for Non-Player Teams.

Fan Support
• 4 Provinces = ½ Support
• Province w/ Flag = 1 Support (must win league to keep)
• ONLY Two Tokens allowed per Province and ONLY One Token per Team

Tokens
• Gained for:
- Winning the League = +1 Token (Only for one Season)
- Fan Support = +1 Token for two Provinces
- Ft. Monroe = +1 Token (Only for Winning previous league)
- Hometown = +1 Token

Esteem Points
• Winning the League = +1 EP
• First or second place finish in the League = +1 EP
• End of Game Fan Support = +1 EP
• Santa Maria All-Star Game Winners = +1 EP
•Copa del Presidente (Special Events Chart) = +3, 2 or 1 EP


Use of Tokens
• Represent All-Star players
- Ace Pitcher (one re-roll per series)
- Silver Slugger (+1 to one roll per series)

Turn Order
• Roll Event Dice
- No Event Dice for First Season
- Subsequent Seasons Active Player team with worst record rolls and decides Event Dice outcome.
• Play First Half of the Season
- Roll dice
- Away team plays tokens
- Home team plays tokens
• All-Star Game
- 1st place and 4th place teams v. 2nd Place and 3rd place teams
- Three game series
- No Home team (games played on a neutral site)
• Play Second Half of the Season
- Roll dice
- Away team plays tokens
- Home team plays tokens
• Playoffs (First and Second place in the League standings qualify)
- Both teams gain +1 token
- Series Format (2 Home games, 3 Away games, 2 Home games)
- Team that finishes in First Place in the League has Home Field advantage for the Playoff series.
• Count up Victory Points and Repeat the season
• Both Playoff teams can place a Fan Support Token

Special Events Chart (roll 2 d6)
2 Hurricane 2 Provinces lose all Fan Support
3 Tropical Storm One Province loses all Fan Support
4 Major League Scouts Team loses +1 Token for One Season
5 Loveable Losers Last Place team gains +1 Fan Support
6 Fixing the Game First Series result for chosen team is 5-1
7 Youth Academy Team gains +1 Token for One Season
8 Player Raid Team gains +1 Token from another Team for One Season
9 Season to Remember Victory Points Doubled for One Season
10 Retired Major Leaguer Team gains +1 Token and +1 Fan Support
11 International Conflict Fort Monroe Closed for the remained of the game
12 Copa del Presidente Winner of 4-Team Tournament gains +3 Victory Points

• Copa del Presidente
- All Teams play in a tournament (1 v. 4 and 2 v. 3). Each Series is a best of five (2 Home, 2 Away, One Home). The highest-seeded Team is always home.
- The top Three receive Victory points as follows.
- 1st Place= +3 VP.
- 2nd Place = +2 VP.
- 3rd Place = +1 VP.

• Season Schedule
- Each team plays 36 games a Season (12 games versus each of the three teams).
- 18 Home games and 18 Away games.
- The Season is split into two halves. 18 games will be played (6 games versus each of the three teams).

• Series Format
- Each series last six games, three series are played per half a season.
- Away team and Home team both roll simultaneously. Dice are matched in descending order. Each die result represents a game during the season. The higher dice roll is the winner. All ties go to the Home team.
- Example: Santa Maria (H) rolls 5, 3, 2 and Veracruz (A) rolls 6, 6, and 2. The Dice would match as follows:
- SM 5/ V 6, SM 3/ V 6 and SM 2/ V 2.
- Veracruz has won 2 games and Santa Maria have won one game.

• The Use of Tokens
- A Token lying flat represents an Ace Pitcher
- A Token standing up represents a Silver Slugger
- Tokens are played by the Away team first, Home team second
- A team can play a maximum of three Tokens per three game series
- (Only one Token per die).
- Tokens are renewed each series.

• Injuries
- When a player rolls three ones in a row their team has suffered an injury and they must roll on the Injury Chart.
